This is a great product and cheap for the amount of guess work it takes out of cloneing

Our Spring weather here in New Zealand can be so unreliable and sometimes it is way too cold to raise anything other than a frown on your face , and finding something productive to do in your garden is often just not an option.
My thoughts turn to indoor situations as being a more rewarding option to follow to create those satisfying rewards.....but you will need some equipment to make it happen.
Having previously lost seeds and cuttings that just refuse to move, especially when a drop in temperature arrives , the disappointment quickly turns to frustration . A good Heat Mat is a must have , but equally as important is that the heat Mat MUST also be controlled with an equally good quality reliable Heat Mat Thermostat or your seeds will continue fail your expectations of them. Too little heat ... too much heat...inconsistent heat temperature variations ...will all slow the growth and also destroy the plant if left unchecked. Constant controlled temperature is the key to good initial growth and the basis for a healthy plant to develop.
The Heat Mat Thermostat Controller as provided by the excellent team at Herbals, is a winner for sure because of its excellent sensor and internal electronics. It is a breeze to set up very quickly and anyone can do it even though easy to follow instructions are included.
The upper and lower settings of your chosen temperature range are self regulating with no input from you required , and it will control that setting at a speed that will impress you, to either lift or lower that temperature within a 0.5 degree range OR LESS .
My experience of this unit so far has resulted in a no failed seeds scenario using a 23 degree heat setting , and it has given me the edge on raising several plant varieties much earlier .
Having the controlled Heat pad on indoors is very economical to run, and in a tent situation is very beneficial for the plants as the rising warmth from the heat pad also keeps the ambient internal temperature above 17 degrees which combined with the 23 degree root temperature makes for good environment for any plants and prepares them well for the time you will move them outdoors .
